What led you to CrossFit 2A?
After years of unsuccessful weight loss, I was told in order to lose my weight I needed interval training (walking wasn’t working). Last fall a neighbor on the base told me she was doing something called CrossFit in Acton, and really enjoyed it, so I checked out CF2A’s web site and read the member transformations. I was encouraged by the transformation stories, especially since I was concerned about my age as well as my size. So I got up the courage to email and show up for my first class.
We’ve noticed a lot of changes in you, but what is the biggest change you’ve seen in yourself since you started CrossFit?
Besides my SIZE, I’m more disciplined (diet & exercise) and for the first time ever, I enjoy working out and I look forward to coming to the box.
You are at the top of the list for attendance in October, what motivates you to make it to class as often as you do?
For one, the results I have gotten from coming to CF2A, but also the friendships and encouragement I get every time I walk in the door!
What are your goals going forward and what do you think will help you achieve them?
To lose more weight and become stronger but also to do burpees without a box!! To achieve these goals I will need to come to the box 4-5 times a week and continue to challenge and push myself beyond my comfort zone!
Other than losing weight, what other differences have you noticed in your daily life since starting CrossFit?
Increased self-esteem, more energy, more outgoing, and feeling 20 years younger!!
What would you recommend to someone who is just starting out with this program or maybe too afraid to try CrossFit?
Don’t think about it, JUST DO IT, you will not regret it. Continue to challenge yourself to do a little better each time you walk in the door and remember, If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you!!!
