What led you to CrossFit 2A?

I have a friend who is a crossfit trainer in Westford, and she was telling me about the program, and how it can be scaled for all levels and abilities. The next week I saw the sign on 2A and thought I'd give it a try.

What do you think is the biggest change you've seen in yourself since you started CrossFit?

I have way more energy. A year ago, I couldn't keep up with my three teenage kids. Now, I'm not hesitant to go hiking, skiing, rock climbing and more with them.

What are your goals going forward and what do you think will help you achieve them?

I would like to continue to get more strength and endurance. While dropping weight was a goal when I started at 2A, I am now more interested in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, so I can try new and different things, like surfing, rec league sports, etc.

How has CrossFit 2A helped you in your day to day life?

With better overall fitness comes more confidence. I have more energy, more focus, and an overall better attitude.

What would you recommend to someone who is just starting out with CrossFit or is too afraid to try it?

I understand your fears. Come to the 6:30 class. We are all at different levels, but have the same goals of getting healthier and stronger. The community is great and supportive from the members of the class, but especially from the trainers who really want to see everyone succeed, and have the tools and enthusiasm to make that possible. At the very least, you will feel that by 7:30am, you have accomplished something positive that day.

A little blurb about your experience here...
Before CF2A, I would go to different gyms and trainers. I would see some successes in the beginning, but could never maintain it. At CF2A, I have not only been able to maintain what I have gained, but also have been able to put in place longer ranging goals, things that seemed un-achievable a year ago. The people are great, supportive, and fun.

Nick has come so far in the last year and a half he has been with us! He always shows up to class ready to work hard. He has had his ups and downs with nutrition like all of us, but has made great improvements in his overall health and nutrition routine! Nick is a great presence in the morning crew, he always shows up with a smile on his face and really adds to the greatness that is the morning crew! I look forward to seeing nick continue with his nutrition and workout goals and helping him every step of the way!
